Binary loader

A component that starts an infection and retrieves or запуска other malicious pieces in later stages.

A binary loader is an executable component that begins an infection and then fetches, decrypts, or launches later-stage malicious code. Instead of carrying the full payload upfront, the loader acts as the first step in a staged attack chain. This separation helps attackers keep the most sensitive code hidden until after initial execution.

Binary loaders matter because they make malware harder to detect and analyze. Defenders may only see a small initial program, while the real payload arrives later from disk, memory, or a remote server. In real attacks, loaders are used to reduce static indicators, delay analysis, and swap infrastructure without changing the first-stage file. Security teams look for suspicious process ancestry, unusual network requests, script or archive spawning, and persistence behavior that follows a staged launch. Watching the loader’s behavior is often more useful than relying only on file hashes or signatures.
