Aspect-aware summarization is a natural-language processing method that groups text by topic before generating a summary. Instead of compressing all feedback into one blur, it separates aspects such as price, service, reliability, or security so each theme can be reviewed on its own. This makes the output easier to audit and helps preserve important minority complaints that a single general summary might hide.
In cyber security, this approach matters anywhere untrusted text is summarized, including user reviews, incident tickets, support chats, and threat reports. It can reduce the risk that noisy or adversarial inputs dominate the final result and can make manipulation easier to detect. Defenders use aspect-aware summaries to trace claims back to evidence, spot spam or prompt-injection patterns, and compare sentiment across topics. It improves transparency, but it does not replace verification: the grouped evidence still needs review against the source data.
