AI fabric is a reusable platform pattern for deploying, governing, and observing AI workloads in a consistent way. Instead of each team wiring models, prompts, tools, logging, and access controls separately, the fabric provides shared services for model routing, policy enforcement, audit trails, cost limits, and runtime monitoring. This makes AI systems easier to move across cloud, edge, or regulated environments without rebuilding security controls every time.
In cyber security, AI fabric matters because modern agents can act with real permissions: they may call APIs, read sensitive data, or trigger business workflows. A strong fabric helps defenders keep those actions bounded, visible, and reviewable. In attacks, the same architecture can reduce blast radius when an agent is abused, misconfigured, or prompt-injected. In defense, it supports least privilege, centralized logging, safer vendor switching, and consistent governance across many AI applications.
