Secure Launch is a security feature in Windows that helps protect systems against firmware-level attacks during the boot process. It leverages hardware-based security, such as Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and Dynamic Root of Trust for Measurement (DRTM), to verify the integrity of firmware and boot components before the operating system loads. If any tampering or unauthorized changes are detected, Secure Launch can prevent the system from booting or alert administrators, reducing the risk of rootkits and persistent malware. This feature is especially important for safeguarding sensitive environments, ensuring that the system starts in a trusted state and that only approved code is executed during startup.
