Retrobright is a chemical restoration process used to whiten and restore yellowed plastics, commonly found in vintage electronics and computer equipment. The process typically involves applying a solution containing hydrogen peroxide, sometimes combined with other agents like TAED, and exposing the plastic to ultraviolet (UV) light or heat. This treatment reverses the discoloration caused by oxidation and UV exposure over time, making aged plastics look newer. While effective, Retrobright is primarily a cosmetic treatment and does not restore the plastic's original chemical properties.
