Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM) is a jihadist coalition formed in 2017 in the Sahel region of Africa. It unites several militant Islamist groups, including Ansar Dine, Al-Mourabitoun, and the Macina Liberation Front, and is affiliated with al-Qaeda. JNIM is primarily active in Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger, where it conducts attacks against local and international forces, as well as civilians.
