Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) is a broadband internet solution that uses radio signals to deliver high-speed connectivity to homes or businesses without relying on traditional wired infrastructure like fiber or copper cables. Instead, FWA utilizes wireless technology, typically leveraging cellular networks such as 4G LTE or 5G, to establish a fixed point-to-point connection between a service provider’s base station and a receiver installed at the customer’s premises. This approach enables rapid deployment in areas where laying cables is impractical or cost-prohibitive. In cybersecurity, FWA requires robust encryption and authentication protocols to protect data transmitted over the air from interception, eavesdropping, or unauthorized access.
