Digital Rights Management (DRM) refers to technologies used by content creators and distributors to control how digital media - such as music, movies, ebooks, and software - can be accessed, used, and shared. DRM systems enforce restrictions like limiting the number of devices on which a file can be played, preventing copying or printing, or requiring online authentication. While DRM helps protect intellectual property and prevent unauthorized distribution, it can also cause compatibility issues and limit how users interact with content they have legally purchased.
