A context window refers to the amount of recent conversation, text, or data that an artificial intelligence (AI) system can access and use when generating responses. In natural language processing, the context window determines how much prior information the AI 'remembers' during an interaction. A larger context window allows the AI to provide more relevant and coherent answers by considering more of the previous conversation or data, while a smaller window may limit its understanding and response quality.
