A click farm is an organized group of individuals who are paid to manually click on online ads, like, share, or follow social media posts, or otherwise engage with digital content. The primary goal is to artificially inflate engagement metrics such as clicks, likes, or followers, making it appear as though a website or social media account is more popular than it actually is. Click farms are often located in countries with low labor costs, and their activities can deceive advertisers and distort analytics, leading to wasted marketing budgets and misleading data. They are considered a form of online fraud and violate the terms of service of most platforms.
